Emma’s lifelong commitment to health, wellbeing and fitness reflects in her ability to motivate and empower every body. Her classes are purposefully designed to enhance the uplifting sense of ‘well-being’ that yoga brings to everyday life.
Having spent more than 25 years in senior corporate roles, Emma has experienced first-hand the sedentary and often stressful nature of office environments. She has seen how this creates a negative impact on our health and wellbeing, creating a ‘striving to survive’ mindset that saps energy, rather than a ‘thriving and living with purpose’ mindset.
Incorporating yoga and meditation practice with wellbeing principles into our lives encourages a mental clarity that enables us to manage such situations more effectively. The effects on maintaining physical and mental balance are long evidenced and becoming an accepted norm in today’s racing world.
Regularly practising yoga has also been shown to help us sleep better, aid digestion, improve hormonal imbalances and soothe the nervous system, among many other well known benefits.
Emma’s gift is in inspiring people at all levels to take the small, incremental steps toward a healthier life, believing that good health and wellbeing doesn’t just happen – it’s a collective and community commitment requiring support, acceptance, understanding and education.
